When the week drifts, the smallest correction that works
On sizing the repair to the drift, instead of doing penance for it.
The week got away from you. A dinner you did not plan, a birthday, two days that looked nothing like the intention you started with. Sunday arrives holding a number you would rather not look at.
The instinct is penance. Eat almost nothing tomorrow, train twice, make the correction larger than the mistake. It rarely survives to Wednesday, and when it fails it tends to take the rest of the month with it.
Sized to the drift
At the turn of the week Niyavo looks at what actually happened and sizes the answer to it. A small drift gets a small answer. A larger one gets a longer runway rather than a harsher week.
It also offers you the shape. Spread the correction thinly across the days, or concentrate it where you have room. Eat a little lighter instead. Or some of each. Your recovery is weighed into the offer, so it will not propose hard work in a week your body is already behind on.
A correction you will actually keep is worth more than the correct one.
Offered, not imposed
Nothing reaches your plan until you accept it. The week ahead is a proposal you can take, adjust, or decline, and declining costs you nothing except the week you were already having.
So let Sunday hold its number. It is not a verdict on the week behind you, it is the input to the one ahead, and the smallest correction that works is the only one worth making.
